Phillip expects KTC to post record profit of 8.5 billion baht in 2026, recommends Buy with 45 baht target
Phillip Securities estimates that KTC will report third-quarter 2026 profit of 2.2 billion baht, up 0.8% from the previous quarter, and expects profit to keep setting new highs, driven by rising lending that will lift interest income and fee income, even as provisions and expenses increase. Year on year, profit is expected to rise 15% on higher interest and fee income, while interest costs and provisions decline. For the first nine months of 2026, profit is expected at 6.6 billion baht, up 16.3% from a year earlier, helped by lower interest costs and provisions and by holding expenses steady. The research house maintains its 2026 profit forecast at 8.5 billion baht, up 9.4% from a year earlier and a continued record high, and keeps its base price target at 45 baht with a Buy recommendation, viewing KTC as still outperforming peers in both lending and card spending growth.

Members who pay a monthly service fee of 699 baht or more with their KTC credit card receive 15% cash back plus the option to use KTC FOREVER points under the conditions, from 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027, and receive system maintenance and care services from BlueRing throughout the contract term. Kiattisak Srisuriyaporn, Head of Business Development at BlueRing Energy Provider Co., Ltd., said the company developed the Solar Subscription model as the first in Thailand to unlock the barrier of initial investment running into the hundreds of thousands of baht, with a Zero Upfront Cost concept designed so that the savings from lower electricity bills outweigh the monthly service fee, and to facilitate government paperwork so that homeowners can sell surplus electricity back to the power authority. Nattasit Suntranu, Chief Marketing Officer for Credit Cards at KTC, or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said KTC has more than 31 Solar Rooftop business partners covering installation service providers, equipment and energy solutions, and views energy as one of the key costs for Thai households and increasingly linked to long-term financial planning.

Maybank raises 2026 SET target to 1,590 points, recommends stock picking
Maybank Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited has raised its 2026 SET Index target to 1,590 points from 1,550 points, but maintained a Neutral view because the overall market upside is not particularly high. Speaking at an online seminar titled "Decoding Thai Stocks, Fourth Quarter: Finding the Next Winners," the firm said earnings support from listed companies is not yet broad-based, with upward earnings revisions concentrated mainly in the electronics and energy sectors, while bond yields in several countries remain elevated, pressuring valuations of risk assets. On the Thai economy, Maybank expects GDP growth of 2.4% in 2026 and 2.7% in 2027, supported by exports, private investment, and a recovery in tourism, though the government's fiscal capacity has diminished amid a higher public debt level. For its fourth-quarter strategy, Maybank recommends focusing on adjusting weights between industry groups and selecting individual stocks rather than investing based on index direction. It highlights three standout groups: consumer finance, where valuations are starting to look attractive again, with TIDLOR, KTC, and MTC as top picks; tourism and transport, where earnings momentum continues, with AWC, AOT, BA, and MINT; and hospital businesses, which have stable revenue and specific supporting factors, with BH and CHG. At the same time, it advises increased caution in three groups: utilities and energy, which has been downgraded from Positive to Neutral; petrochemicals; and retail.
Krungsri sees Bangkok floods pressuring banks and finance firms, risking asset quality
Krungsri Securities said continuous heavy rain in Bangkok and its vicinity from September 24-27, 2026, caused flooding in many areas. Its research team holds a slightly negative view on the Bank and Consumer Finance sectors because of asset quality risks, including provisioning expenses, credit cost, and non-performing loans. It estimates that for every 0.05% increase in provisioning expenses, net profit for the Bank and Consumer Finance sectors in 2027 would face downside of 2.1% and 0.9%, respectively. However, the research team expects financial institutions to roll out borrower relief measures, including debt payment holidays, lower installments and interest rates, and additional loans at special interest rates, which would help reduce the impact on asset quality. It noted that some banks have already introduced borrower relief measures and expects other financial institutions to follow with measures of their own. On investment strategy, Krungsri's research team maintains a BULLISH recommendation on the Bank sector, keeping KBANK with a target price of 300 baht and KTB with a target price of 55 baht as Top Picks. For Consumer Finance stocks, it maintains a NEUTRAL recommendation, keeping KTC with a target price of 54 baht as its Top Pick.
KBANK.BK · Capital · Neutral Krungsri keeps KBANK as Top Pick with 300 baht target despite slightly negative sector view on flood-driven asset-quality risk.
KTB.BK · Capital · Neutral Krungsri keeps KTB as Top Pick with 55 baht target even as it flags flood-related provisioning and NPL risks for banks.
KTC.BK · Capital · Neutral Krungsri maintains NEUTRAL on consumer finance and keeps KTC as Top Pick with 54 baht target amid flood-related asset-quality concerns.
Brokers pick TIDLOR and MTC as top picks in title-loan sector as flood impact seen limited
Securities analysts at Bualuang, or BLS, assess that flooding in some areas of Bangkok, its surrounding provinces and the eastern region will have a limited impact on title-loan providers. They assume that if 10% of those areas are affected, this would account for 5% of TIDLOR's loans, 4% of MTC's and 3% of SAWAD's, and they expect 20% of customers in this group to face temporary repayment problems of about one month. That would force the companies to set aside additional provisions of roughly 10% of the affected loans in the third and fourth quarters of 2026, which would have a low impact on 2026 net profit, cutting MTC's and TIDLOR's earnings by only 2% and SAWAD's by about 1%. CGS International (Thailand), or CGSI, said TIDLOR will be hit hardest because it has many branches in flooded areas and its collateral is four-wheeled vehicles at risk of damage, and it may consider setting aside an additional management overlay in the third quarter of 2026. MTC and SAWAD will be less affected because most of their branches are outside risk areas. KTC may be affected by higher overdue loans in the fourth quarter of 2026, but the impact on loan growth is limited because its coverage ratio stood at a strong 400% at the end of the second quarter of 2026. The house maintains a neutral weighting on the loan sector, with TIDLOR and MTC as its top picks in the group.
MTC.BK · Capital · Positive MTC named a top pick in the title-loan sector, with flood impact seen limited (only ~2% 2026 earnings hit) and most branches outside risk areas.
TIDLOR.BK · Capital · Neutral TIDLOR named a top pick but CGSI says it will be hit hardest by flooding, with possible extra management overlay in Q3 2026.
SAWAD.BK · Capital · Negative SAWAD faces additional provisions from flood-affected loans, cutting 2026 earnings by about 1%.
KTC.BK · Capital · Negative KTC may face higher overdue loans in Q4 2026 from flooding, though strong 400% coverage limits loan-growth impact.
KSS picks 5 stocks to benefit from state's 57.5-billion-baht stimulus via welfare card, Thai Chuay Thai Plus, disaster insurance
Krungsri Securities Public Company Limited, or KSS, estimates that the government's new economic stimulus package, with a combined value of more than 50 billion baht, will add roughly 0.2% of GDP to Thailand's near-term economic momentum, and possibly 0.3% when including the money people contribute into the system. The Cabinet on 22 September 2026 approved raising the state welfare card purchase allowance by another 700 baht per person, from 300 baht to 1,000 baht per person in October 2026, and also approved the Thai Chuay Thai Plus (additional) project, which covers the welfare allowance increase and the extension of the Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40 project under a combined framework of 42 billion baht. The additional 60/40 project will run from 1 October to 30 November 2026, with the state co-paying 60% of the value of goods and services, capped at no more than 200 baht per person per day and no more than 1,000 baht per person over the whole project. Meanwhile, the disaster insurance project has been allocated a budget of 15.5 billion baht, split into 15 billion baht for group residential insurance premiums and 500 million baht for group accident insurance, covering floods, windstorms and earthquakes from 1 October 2026 to 1 October 2027. TCG expands credit guarantees by 70 billion baht, boosting non-banks with MTC in focus
TCG is preparing to expand its credit guarantee base to Micro SMEs, Nano SMEs, and freelancers through partnerships with non-bank groups and virtual banks, targeting a guarantee volume of 70 billion baht, which will generate a multiplier effect of up to 4 times, equivalent to injecting more than 280 billion baht into the economy. Currently, TCG supports loans covering only 50% of its existing potential, and is in discussions with 17 qualifying non-bank providers out of 37 to set loan limits of 20,000-30,000 baht per borrower, with a conclusion expected in October 2026. Analysts at KGI said the policy will benefit the non-bank sector, especially MTC, which currently has nano-finance loans accounting for about 5% of its total loans, while SAWAD, TIDLOR, KTC, and AEONTS do not yet have loans in this segment. If the credit guarantee project expands, it will help support stronger loan growth for the non-bank sector.

Government Allocates 200 Billion Baht to Boost Clean Energy, Nine Thai Stocks Set to Benefit Fully
