China CAMC Engineering Signs Maintenance Contracts for Six Hospitals in Guyana, Extending Post-EPC Layout
China CAMC Engineering and Guyana's Ministry of Health have formally signed maintenance contracts for six regional hospitals, extending their cooperation from the construction phase to operations and maintenance. These six regional hospitals were delivered and put into operation between June and August 2025. Under the contracts, China CAMC Engineering will provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the hospitals' building facilities and electromechanical utility systems. This is another landmark project in the company's push to extend its EPC business downstream and improve its post-construction services, and a typical implementation of post-EPC work in overseas livelihood sectors. Previously, the Beres No. 1 Sugar Factory in Ethiopia, which China CAMC Engineering built under an EPC model and completed in September 2023, successfully signed a follow-up commercial operations contract. The project has a designed crushing capacity of 12,000 tonnes per day and was named a 2024 China Sustainable Infrastructure Project Overseas. China CAMC Engineering has now achieved full coverage across its three investment, construction and operation directions: environmental engineering, ropeway engineering, and clean energy engineering. Among them, the Tashkent and Andijan waste-to-energy projects in Uzbekistan, with a combined total investment of 475 million US dollars, are progressing steadily, and the Atush Tianmen Ropeway in Xinjiang, the company's first ropeway investment, construction and operation project, has entered trial operation.
