Legrand Unveils Data Center Roadmap and Upgraded 2030 Ambitions at Capital Markets Day
Legrand is hosting a Capital Markets Day in Singapore on September 29, 2026, where it will present a strategic plan it says is fully on track and upgraded 2030 sales and profitability ambitions driven by the energy and digital transition. Chief Executive Officer Benoît Coquart will present a global roadmap through 2030 built around three focus areas: data centers at 32% of sales, energy transition at 22% of sales, and essential infrastructures for buildings at 46% of sales. Legrand's data center business will reach more than €3 billion of sales in 2026, spanning critical power at 35% of sales, physical compute infrastructure at 25%, compute infrastructure monitoring, management and control at 25%, advanced cooling at 5%, and testing and lifecycle services at 10%, and the company will unveil its vision for the transition toward Low Voltage Direct Current architectures and a roadmap for next-generation AI data centers at gigawatt scale. Chief Financial Officer Franck Lemery will detail upgraded 2030 ambitions for 2027 to 2030, comprising organic sales growth with a CAGR of +6% to +8%, a yearly scope effect from acquisitions of around +5% on average, divestments of €0.5 billion to €1.0 billion of sales over the period, an adjusted operating margin of 21% to 22% of sales on average, and free cash flow of 13% to 15% of sales on average with cash conversion above 100%. Capital allocation will keep around 60% of free cash flow dedicated to acquisitions on average, a dividend policy of around 50% net income payout, selective share buybacks, and a leverage ratio target of 1.5x to 2.5x net debt to EBITDA. Legrand reported sales of €9.5 billion in 2025 and is listed on Euronext Paris as a component of the CAC 40, CAC 40 ESG and CAC Transition Climat indexes.
