Juneyao Airlines reports higher revenue but lower profit in first half, net profit down 70%

Juneyao Airlines disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 30. In the first half, it achieved operating revenue of 12.081 billion yuan, up 9.16% year on year, but net profit attributable to the parent company was only 150 million yuan, down 70.27% year on year, showing higher revenue but lower profit. The company said a sharp rise in jet fuel prices pushed up operating costs, becoming the main factor eroding profit. First-half operating costs were 11.237 billion yuan, up 15.17% year on year, growing notably faster than revenue. In addition, non-recurring net profit fell 82.97% year on year to 69.4244 million yuan, putting profitability under pressure. During the reporting period, the company's international available seat kilometers accounted for 32% of the total, but it did not formulate a semi-annual profit distribution plan.

Juneyao Airlines expects first-half net profit to fall 58% to 72% year-on-year

Juneyao Airlines disclosed an earnings forecast, expecting net profit attributable to the parent company for the first half of 2026 to be between 140 million and 210 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 58.46% to 72.3%. Affected by changes in the international energy market, jet fuel prices rose sharply year-on-year in the second quarter, directly pushing up the company's core operating costs for the period and leading to a loss in the second quarter, which in turn caused the reported period's earnings to decline year-on-year.
