Cave's New President Aims for Overseas Expansion with Bullet Hell IP
Yuki Takahashi, who has been appointed president and CEO of Cave, has unveiled a new management strategy centered on the company's expertise in developing bullet hell shooters, aiming to promote its IP both domestically and internationally. Takahashi assumed the role of representative director, president, and CEO in August 2025, and has indicated a policy of leveraging unique strengths that cannot be bought with capital to adapt to changes in the industry structure. Specifically, he has outlined three pillars: polishing existing games, challenging new fields through external partnerships, and increasing the number of trials using AI. Additionally, as the Japanese government has set a goal of expanding the overseas market for Japan-originated content to 20 trillion yen by 2033, the company will also develop its IP across various media such as games and anime, advancing strategies that are conscious of overseas markets. Takahashi stated, 'We will create opportunities beyond the realm of emotion,' and is also considering partnerships with other companies.
