Minden Electronics' subsidiary GMC Microelectronics raises wafer foundry prices by 10% to 20%, plans 1 billion yuan private placement

Minden Electronics disclosed that, benefiting from a reversal in the supply-demand dynamics of the power semiconductor industry and tightening capacity at mature-node wafer foundries, its controlled wafer foundry GMC Microelectronics will raise foundry prices by 10% to 20% starting June 2026. Its equity-participated silicon wafer company Jingrui Electronics will also follow with a 15% price hike from July 1. The core product monthly sales volume of the company's controlled design house Guangwei Integration has jumped from about 1,000 wafers in early 2025 to over 10,000 wafers currently. The company also disclosed a targeted fundraising plan, intending to raise 1 billion yuan, of which 700 million yuan will be used for a specialty high-voltage power semiconductor devices and power integrated circuit wafer foundry project, and 300 million yuan to replenish working capital and repay bank loans. GMC Microelectronics' first-phase production facility is planned for a monthly capacity of 100,000 six-inch silicon-based wafers. Currently, both capacity and orders are full, and the company is advancing full production for the first phase through various channels while preparing to start second-phase construction at an appropriate time. Jingrui Electronics is operating at full production and full sales. It has completed about 200 million yuan in equity financing this year and built a new monocrystalline ingot project, which is expected to commence production by the end of this year or early next year.
